While reading Madebygirl (I love that blog) I saw Life in Grace's work room and simply fell in love. The room serves as her work room, activity room, and the least likely thing of all.... a laundry room!! The colors, textures, everything just made me swoon and I had to look at the pictures over and over studying the details trying to distill why the room made me so happy! Like the name of my blog, the room might be "Just A Bit Much" to some but that's why I love it. There is so much going on and although the eye supposedly needs a place to rest for someone like me who loves a lot going on I can rest my eyes all over that room! I hope you enjoy the photos and to see how the laundry area looks check out her blog link above. I wish she had a video so that I could see the entire room in one sweep and really get a feel for it.

The oddest and spookiest thing I've seen on ebay ever!
Today I was just checking out ebay and somehow found myself on the ebay stories site face to face with this! It comes with a funny and creepy back story about a "Possibly haunted robot might eat you in your sleep." Say what?! Here's what's in the actual post:
"True story: This vintage robot was discovered in an abandoned barn filled with multiple severed body parts. Most of the body parts were papier-mâché, but still. You know what “papier-mâché” is? It’s French for “chewed paper”. Which means that this freaky, haunted robot was in someone’s mouth. Probably Satan's if I had to guess. I don’t know. I’m not good at crafts.
Here’s what I do know though: This marionette is so magical that it moves without strings. Instead it plugs in. And it’s so haunted that it doesn’t even work when you plug it in. But one time when it wasn’t plugged in it *totally* moved. And then I sh— myself. And then I put it in the attic so that it couldn’t eat my face but it keeps showing up on my pillow almost every night that I have a fight with my husband. Which is weird because HOW DOES IT KNOW?
The good news though is that this totally creeptastic, possibly haunted, guaranteed-to-screw-up-your-kids-forever, faux-marionette can be yours for the low, low price of whatever people are willing to pay for it. Condition: Totally f-ed up. But in kind of an awesome way. Like if Tim Burton and John Waters had a baby and that baby was a drummer.
UPDATED: OMG, YOU GUYS. I just went outside to take pictures of it and ITS HEAD FELL OFF AND ROLLED ACROSS THE FLOOR. At first I thought this would be a negative selling point but then I realized that now I have twice as many parts for you to buy. Also, I looked inside the head and guess what it was stuffed with? Children’s souls and old blood. Or tissue paper. Same difference. Plus, the bottom part is crazy heavy so that’s why shipping is so much, but if you decide you just want the head I’ll ship it to you for free and then send the body to the Catholic church so that they can destroy it before it eats our souls and kills all the cats in the neighborhood. EVERYONE WINS."
Crazy right?! The seller is actually The Bloggess, a comedic writer. Here's the actual ebay listing where the questions and answers will also make you chuckle.

Hilarious Hilarious-Big Tuna I Like You Even More!
I saw this on Jimmy Fallon the other night and almost died laughing because it just got better and better. John and Jimmy killed it on the "mic" haha. I'm sad that The Office is ending but am so thankful that it came along and introduced me to Jim, Pam, Michael Scott, Dwight, and my fave Kelly Kapoor and all the other unique employees of Dunder Mifflin. I hope you enjoy! Can't wait to watch the second to last episode tonight!

Wednesday Pick Me Up
I'm about to fall into the lull of a food coma so I really needed a pick me up! This photo by Jenny van Sommers does the trick. It certainly gives me a jolt of happy! Now I'll wait a couple hours before I drink that Red Bull!

Sì Io Amo
When I think of Giuseppe Zanotti I think of Lady Gaga. She includes Giuseppe Zanotti heels in her "Marry The Night" music video and often wears his shoes when she's out and about. I truly admire both of them for the drama they bring to their fashion and art. That kind of flair is just so inspiring. Below are some of his shoes that I'm admiring from afar and some Lady Gaga in the aforementioned video. That Mother Monster sure can bring it!
I love these for the bling and the simplicity.
I love the spikes and that they come in a flat and a sensible wedge.
These are probably leaves but I like to think of them as wings like something Hermes/Mercury inspired.

Carnival Invitations for a Wedding!
How amazing is this wedding invitation suite by Yeri Yun for her own wedding?! I love the details, the whimsy, and the color palette. Wouldn't you get super excited for an event if you received something like this in the mail? If the invitation suite didn't make you all happy inside then take a look at her wedding details below from Green Wedding Shoes. I definitely see a carnival themed party in my future!

Tweed Moto Jackets- Ladies Who Lunch meets Street Racer Cool
When it comes to fashion and interior design I tend to be attracted to the juxtaposition of opposite styles. Take this Tweed Moto Jacket by Tinley Road. It's a mix between "ladies who lunch" and speed racer cool. I'm currently eyeing this jacket but I still can't quite hit the checkout button yet. Yes it's sitting in my cart right now. That's actually how I windowshop online during those times when I'm saving for other things. It's also my strategy for figuring out if I really, really want something. If I still remember it and start stalking the cart everyday, 80% of the time I end up buying the item. I also like the mens blazer like quality of Wasteland's moto jacket. I think the Rebecca Taylor version is pretty perfect. The multitones of the greys make this suitable for a not so formal office if paired with a pencil skirt or wide leg trousers. Which do you like best?

Wow X 9000
I just saw this video on youtube and it turned me into a total baby for a minute. Ever since I was little I always hoped that I would one day buy a house for my family. I'm guessing a lot of people hope to do that if their parents don't own their home or if the homes they live in aren't in the safest places. This video made me really happy that I could witness someone making their mama's life better in that way. I really hope I can do the same for my mom one day.
Wow X 9000 = I LOVE this X 9000!
Goals and dreams here I come. :)

Monday Shmunday!
Sorry for the "hey I'm back, psyche!" moment. I really didn't mean to be gone for another few weeks. Okay now I'm really, really back!
Lately the weather in the bay area has been so beautiful! Flowers are in bloom, people walk their dogs more frequently (seeing dogs on the street is always a treat for me), and the sun just makes me smile a little bit brighter. It must be all that Vitamin D! Unfortunately what makes me a little down is not being able to be outside on such glorious days!! Being cooped up inside at work just makes the workday seem so endless. What do you do at work when it just feels like a week of Mondays? Lately I've been listening to some podcasts to make the time pass by a little faster. This week I've been listening to the Freakonomics Radio Podcasts. Are there any podcasts you enjoy listening to?
Although it isn't Monday, below is a photo my friend posted on Instagram that made me appreciate Mondays much more than before. I hope it makes you appreciate all the Mondays and days that feel like Mondays more too! Happy Wednesday!
